We realize that economic development is vital to helping cities and communities flourish. Therefore, we stay actively involved with local chambers of commerce and development offices to help ensure a strong future for the areas we serve.
Through our close relationship with the industrial recruitment representatives of Alabama Electric Cooperative (AEC), our generation and transmission cooperative, we are able to stay abreast of the activities of the Alabama Development Office (ADO), the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) and other state level industrial development organizations.
Our economic development representative is constantly looking for grant and loan programs on both a state and federal level that could possibly help fund economic development in our area.
Why is economic development so important to us? Because we are local. Our employees are your friends and neighbors, and the growth and success of the communities we serve not only has an impact on our organization, but on our employees personally. We understand that a community can only survive and flourish through the power of human connections.
