Emergency Summer Fund and Food Drive
WSFA 12 News and the Montgomery Area Food bank teamed up with Dixie Electric Cooperative to collect money supplies and food for the victims of the April 15th and 27th tornado outbreak. The drive was held Friday, May 6 from 5:00am to 7:00pm in front of the Chantilly Parkway Wal-Mart.As a result of the generosity of the community, the Montgomery Area Food Bank collected over $59,000 and over 70,000 pounds worth of items.
Remember that with each dollar you give the Montgomery Area Food Bank can provide up to 6.5 lbs of food! Plus each dollar that you give will help make sure that the supplies get where they are needed in the quickest way possible.
